Our owner has over 35 years in construction, from laborer to director of operations. He has managed crews of over 100 people on multi-million-dollar projects. You will work for someone who has done every job on the site and understands the work from the ground up.

We handle site preparation, grading, drainage, septic systems, utilities, demolition, environmental earthwork, road construction, and landfill maintenance. No two weeks look the same. The work is real, the projects matter, and the results are visible.
Safety and Professionalism
We hold OSHA 10 and 30 certifications, HAZWOPER certification, and maintain safe job site practices on every project. Safety is not negotiable here. We provide the training, equipment, and support to do the job right.
Positions We Hire For
We hire for the following types of roles as the company grows. Open positions are listed below when available. If no positions are currently posted, we still accept applications from qualified candidates for future openings.
- Heavy Equipment Operators
Excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and compact equipment. Experience with GPS and laser grading systems is a plus. Must be able to operate safely and efficiently across a variety of site conditions.
- CDL Drivers
Dump truck and tractor-trailer operators for material hauling, debris removal, and equipment transport. Valid CDL required. Clean driving record.
- Laborers & General Construction
Site work, pipe installation, grading support, traffic control, and general construction labor. Willingness to learn, physical fitness, and reliability are the baseline requirements.

- Do I need experience to apply?
Experience is preferred for equipment operators and CDL drivers. For laborer positions, we value reliability, physical fitness, and willingness to learn. We provide training on our specific equipment and job site procedures.
- Is Hale Excavation a veteran-friendly employer?

- What certifications do you require?
Requirements vary by position. CDL drivers need a valid commercial license. Equipment operators benefit from OSHA certifications and 811 training. We provide additional certifications and training as needed for the role.
- Where are jobs located?
Job sites are across Central New York, primarily in Oneida County, Herkimer County, and Madison County. Some projects extend further across the region. Our base of operations is in Sauquoit, NY.
