Excavation Services in New Hartford, Oneida County

New Hartford is one of the most desirable residential communities in Oneida County and the closest town to our Sauquoit base. From our shop to most New Hartford properties, travel time is under 10 minutes. That proximity means faster response for emergencies, easier scheduling for routine projects, and less mobilization cost passed along to you.

Hale Excavation is a veteran-owned, licensed, and insured contractor with over 35 years of construction experience. New Hartford’s property mix includes established residential neighborhoods with well-maintained homes, newer suburban development, and a significant commercial corridor along Commercial Drive, Kellogg Road, and the Sangertown Square area. Each of these areas generates different excavation needs, and we handle all of them.

The Town of New Hartford also extends into more rural areas where properties sit on larger lots with private wells and septic systems, wooded acreage that needs clearing for new construction, and gravel driveways that require seasonal maintenance. We serve the full range of New Hartford properties, from the commercial corridor to the back roads. Free estimates, free second opinions, and free consultations.

Why New Hartford Properties Need Experienced Excavation

Established Homes on Clay-Heavy Soils

Many of New Hartford’s residential neighborhoods sit on clay soils that drain poorly. Homes built in the 1960s through the 1990s often have inadequate foundation drainage, and homeowners deal with chronic wet basements and soggy yards. French drains, regrading, and catch basins solve these problems permanently.

Active New Home Construction

New Hartford continues to attract new residential construction, particularly in the southern and western portions of the town. These projects require land clearing, grading, foundation excavation, septic installation (for properties outside the sewer district), utility connections, and driveway construction. We serve the builders and homeowners driving this growth.

Commercial Corridor Maintenance and Redevelopment

The Commercial Drive, Kellogg Road, and Sangertown Square area is one of the busiest commercial corridors in Oneida County. Parking lot work, utility repairs, stormwater management, snow removal, and demolition of aging commercial structures are ongoing needs. We serve commercial property owners and managers throughout this corridor.

Rural Properties with Private Wells, Septic, and Gravel Roads

The outer reaches of the Town of New Hartford include larger rural properties with private infrastructure. These homeowners need septic services, well-related excavation, driveway and road maintenance, pond excavation, and land clearing. The needs are different from the suburban core, and we handle both.

New Hartford Areas We Serve

The village center and surrounding residential neighborhoods. Older homes with drainage and utility needs, small commercial properties, and established lots. Foundation drainage, sewer line replacement, and landscaping-related excavation.

The commercial heart of New Hartford and one of the largest retail and business corridors in Oneida County. Parking lot maintenance, utility work, stormwater management, snow removal, and commercial site work.

Suburban and rural residential areas south of the village. Newer home construction, septic systems, land clearing, driveway work, and grading. Many properties in this area sit on larger lots with private wells and septic.

Rural communities within the Town of New Hartford. Septic installation and repair, private road and driveway construction, pond excavation, and land clearing for new building sites. These areas have larger lots and heavier tree cover.
