Excavation Services in Clinton and Kirkland

Clinton sits south of Utica and New Hartford along the Route 12B corridor, about 15 minutes from our Sauquoit base. The village is known for Hamilton College, its well-preserved historic architecture, and the tree-lined streets around the Clinton Village Green. Properties here reflect that character: carefully maintained older homes, institutional buildings, and surrounding rural land with wooded lots, private septic systems, and long driveways.

Hale Excavation is a veteran-owned, licensed, and insured contractor with over 35 years of construction experience. Clinton’s property owners expect quality work, and we deliver it. Whether the project is a French drain along the foundation of a 150-year-old home near the Green, a new septic system on a rural lot in the Town of Kirkland, or site preparation for a new home on the outskirts of the village, we bring the same standards to every job.

We serve homeowners, property managers, institutional clients, and builders throughout Clinton and Kirkland. The combination of historic properties, institutional infrastructure, and rural land creates a diverse range of excavation needs, and we handle all of them. Free estimates, free second opinions, and free consultations.

Why Clinton Properties Need Experienced Excavation

Historic Homes Require Careful Excavation

Working around a 150-year-old stone foundation is different from digging next to a modern poured concrete wall. Older foundations are more sensitive to adjacent excavation, vibration, and changes in soil pressure. We plan the excavation to protect the existing structure while solving the drainage, utility, or foundation problem that brought us there.

Hamilton College and Institutional Properties

Clinton’s institutional properties, including Hamilton College, generate demand for excavation services: utility work, stormwater management, site preparation for campus improvements, and infrastructure maintenance. We serve institutional clients with the professionalism and coordination that campus projects require.

Rural Kirkland Properties on Private Systems

Outside the village center, the Town of Kirkland stretches into rural areas where properties sit on larger lots with private wells, septic systems, and gravel driveways. These homeowners need septic services, land clearing, driveway construction, and pond excavation. The needs are distinctly rural, and we have the equipment to handle them.

New Construction on Wooded and Sloped Lots

Building sites around Clinton often involve wooded lots with significant grade changes. Land clearing, grading, retaining walls, and foundation excavation on sloped terrain require experienced operators and proper planning. We handle the challenging site conditions that are common in this area.
